Breaking: Attack on Israeli Embassy Mauritania

This is a breaking story...

There are reports of gunmen attacking the Israeli Embassy in the Islamic Republic of Mauritania. Mauritania is located on the western African coast.

According to the Jerusalem Post, six gunmen pulled up in front of the Embassy, shouted "Allah Akbar" and then began exchanging gunfire with Embassy guards. Haaretz is reporting that there were no Israeli casualties.

Original Report from MSNBC:
NOUAKCHOTT, Mauritania - Unidentified gunmen attacked the Israeli Embassy
in the Mauritanian capital Nouakchott early on Friday, wounding some people,
police and emergency services said.
A bar near the embassy, in the center of Nouakchott, was also hit by gunfire in the attack before the attackers fled, they said.

It came just weeks after the Lisbon-Dakar rally was cancelled due to fears of an armed Islamist threat in the West African country following two atacks in late December in which four French tourists and some soldiers were killed
