Time to Consider Secession?

The ruling on SB1070 is NOT what has caused me to begin to think that it may be time for Arizona to secede from the United States- it is the response of Our Great Leader, His Imperial Majesty Barack I (Peace be Upon Him) and his lapdog, Janet (I'm a Traitor to My State) Napolitano.

Apparently, I am not the only one who is thinking so or has brought this idea up.

The issue is simple- the Federal Government has stripped Arizona of its Sovereignty.   They have ceded our State to Mexico and openly support an invasion of Mexican citizens into Arizona.

Immigration is a LEGAL status.   There is no ILLEGAL Immigration- You either are an Immigrant, a Citizen, a Visitor, or you are invading.  There are NO other options.  

When the US Government states openly it will no longer stop Illegal Aliens/Invaders to Arizona- When they state openly they will STRIP Arizona of the ability to enforce FEDERAL LAWS, they have abdicated their right to govern.

To refuse to take calls from Arizona Law Enforcement who are doing their jobs as defined and allowed by ALL EIGHT JUSTICES who heard Arizona v United States, yet set up a line to take calls from people who ALLEGE they have had their Civil Rights violated, BEFORE the law actually takes effect is beyond belief and beyond reproach.

The CONSTANT and CONTINUAL attacks on Arizona MUST STOP.  The Sovereignty of our State must come first- Or it is time to Secede.

ACLU Issues Travel Warning Against Arizona

The ACLU is issuing warnings about travelling to Arizona.

The "warning" basically states that travel to Arizona could lead to racial profiling. The Arizona Chapter of the ACLU has stated they already have had reports of "profiling" and wanted to get the warnings out before July 4.

Except, the law does not go into effect until July 29.

Further, it would seem that this is nothing more than a publicity grabbing, misinformation campaign.

First- As an Arizona native, I can say with 100% conviction that my facts are accurate in that JULY is likely NOT Arizona's best month for tourism. With the exception of parts of Northern and Eastern Arizona the state is HOT during July (and many from the North or East would say Northern and Eastern Arizona are too hot for them). July is the start of the monsoon, the lower elevations are not only HOT (115 in the shade) but also MUGGY, with a good amount of humidity and rain. The fall and winter are MUCH bigger tourism months for the state, with the influx of the seasonal "snow-birds."

(With that said, I have been 'home' to Phoenix in July and August, and I think the weather is fine-- although the kids thought it was hot. One of them dropped a Crayon on the asphalt when we went to visit the zoo and was suprised to see a puddle of molten wax when we returned to the car!)

Second- SB1070 is a SECONDARY offense-law. You cannot be stopped unless you are violating another law! This is no different from secondary seat-belt laws- you cannot get "pulled over" for not wearing your seat-belt. You can only get a ticket, if you are "pulled over" for something else. (With that said, Kansas just made not wearing a seat-belt a "Primary" offense).

Third- 1070 DOES NOT TAKE EFFECT UNTIL JULY 29!!!! WHY warn people on July 4th, unless it is to get press attention?

Personally, as a Native of Arizona, I would say we don't want the ACLU in Arizona to start with, so I suggest that you, the members of the ACLU, follow your own warning and STAY OUT of Arizona…

The Governor's office was a bit more polite:

"The legislation includes very specific language that makes it abundantly clear that racial profiling is and will continue to be illegal in Arizona," Brewer spokesman Paul Senseman said. "Instead of spreading fear, hate, and disinformation about the legislation, it would be helpful for the ACLU to instead join Governor Brewer's demand that the federal government stop discussing and begin implementing an honest plan to secure our nation's border."

Twice Deported Illegal Alien Arrested for Slashing Two Women

Aaron Noel Camey Valenzuela, 23, currently living in Massachusetts, but an illegal alien from Guatemala, slashed his ex-girlfriend and then another woman who tried to step in to help.

Perhaps if his employer, United Solutions of Leominster, Massachusetts chosen not to hire this person who was in this country illegally this incident may not have happened.

Of course, this guy had already been deported twice. Obviously something in the system is not working, if a guy can get deported twice then come back to commit an assault- or perhaps attempted murder.

Kris Kobach Running for Secretary of State

GOOD NEWS for Kansas! (ok, so this is not "new" news-but I have not written on it and I only recently found out)

Dr. Kris Kobach is running for Secretary of State for the State of Kansas.

Dr. Kobach is a professor of Constitutional Law, former White House Fellow, past Chair of the Kansas GOP and a regular contributor on O'Reilly and Lou Dobbs. Kris also spends his time fighting against the over-reaching of the ACLU.

With Kris as Secretary of State, Kansans can rest assured that he will be doing everything possible to make sure that at least in Kansas, the illegal voter operations of groups like ACORN will stop- and that only those that have the right to vote, get to vote.

Kris takes a firm stance against illegal immigration. Most recently, he has taken the case of Nebraska students who are required to pay out-of-state tuition while illegal aliens are allowed to pay in-state tuition.

Of course, the liberals of the "CommunistKansas City Star" (I hate linking to and giving "idiotic" statements traffic, but I must site sources) are basically accusing Kris of all sorts of racism and all manner of evil. Apparently, illegal aliens who are over 18 should be given a free pass and be allowed to pay "resident" tuition while legal immigrants are required to pay "non-resident" tuition.

I fail to understand why a person who is in this country ILLEGALLY should receive special discounts, while people who obey the rules are required to pay full price.

I also fail to understand why those of us who disagree with illegal immigration are constantly accused of racism. In case liberals where not aware, according to the Border Patrol 2008 Performance and Accountability Report, "in FY 2008, the Border Patrol apprehended 51,970 illegal OTM [other than Mexican] aliens at the southwest border and 3,681 OTMs along the northern border." Illegal aliens come from all races and colors. Illegal immigration has NOTHING to do with any one race.

U-Va: Children of Illegals Not Legal Residents

The University of Virginia is telling students that if your parents are illegal aliens, they are NOT legal residents of the state and therefore out-of-state tuition should apply.

The Virginia AG's office last week said that the schools in Virginia must consider parents legal status because students are considered dependant until age 24. However, the University can review cases to determine if a student's status should be considered separate from the parents.

Despite what I am sure the left will say, this is NOT a bad thing. A parent's legal residence has ALWAYS been an issue when determining a student's residency status. Schools have always been strict on this issue. If the parent is NOT a LEGAL RESIDENT AND TAXPAYER of the state, why should they get tuition breaks for their kids.

I sure wish Kansas would get the message.

Shaq and Sheriff Joe to Hunt Illegal Aliens

Sheriff Joe Arapio has plans for Shaquille O'Neal now that he is moving to Phoenix- Going after illegal aliens. From KTAR:

Sheriff Joe Arpaio is excited that Shaq's coming to town.

Arpaio deputized Shaquille O'Neal, who became a Phoenix Sun on Wednesday, two years ago.

``Actually, I made him a colonel after he won the NBA championship (with the Miami Heat in 2006)," Arpaio said after learning of the trade.

``He's a great addition to the Valley. He's a good guy and likes law enforcement, and I hope he'll be good for the Phoenix Suns." The sheriff added, ``I'm glad he's coming out to my turf. I'm hoping we'll recruit him for our posse. Maybe we'll go after illegal immigrants and other crime."
Arpaio has one concern.

``The only problem I have is he keeps saying he wants to run for sheriff in Florida or California. I hope he doesn't get any ideas here in Phoenix. However, I'd beat him anyway."

Arpaio said he'll have a uniform made for Shaq if he'll join the posse. It will be a big one. O'Neal stands 7-feet-1, weighs 325 pounds and wears a size 23 shoe.

Semler Resigns-- Funkhouser- "This position is not about Immigration"

Frances Semler (74), an embattled member of the Kansas City, Missouri Parks Board, finally threw in the towel on Monday night. For months she had been harassed in the media, and blasted by liberal activist groups, all because she was a member of the Minutemen.

KC Mayor Mark Funkhouser said he regretted her resignation and that he had refused an earlier resignation attempt by Semler. He also said there should NOT be a litmus test and the position on the Parks Board was "not about immigration," but he did add the the issue needs discussion.

Selmer said her decision was based on a lack of private support from the Mayor, citing things like the Mayor asking her not to attend the Minuteman Convention.

La Raza and the Southern "Christian" Leadership Conference had both urged boycotts of Kansas City and had cancelled their conventions that were scheduled for Kansas City.

The Minutemen on the other hand, decided they SHOULD host their convention in Kansas City.

My question is, what happened to freedom of speech and association? Has it completely given way to rule by minority opinion and political correctness?

Illegal Alien Drunk Drivers- Personal Experience

Digger at Digger's Realm today discusses a topic that I unfortunately have personal experience with-- Illegal Alien Drunk Drivers.

In 1997 I was on the shoulder of I-35 at the Kansas City Airport trying to fix my car that had broken down. I had been under the hood of the car and dropped a bolt. I moved out from the hood just a split second before the car was totaled by a drunk, Illegal Alien who was backing up the shoulder of the Interstate. After hitting me, he left the scene. Thank God for a Good Samaritan who saw the whole thing, checked on me first (I had minor injuries) and then followed the illegals as they drove around the Kansas City Airport on blown tires.

The two Illegals were apprehended, and charged with DUI and Leaving the Scene. I found later that they served 30 days in jail and were sent back to Mexico. Of course, I was never compensated for the damages.

It is nice to hear that finally this issue is being given attention.

Smuggler Given Immunity by US in Shooting Case, Arrested

Under the topic of Illegal Immigration - And YES I do support freeing Ramos and Compean.

Osvaldo Aldrete Davila, the drug smuggler who was given immunity by US Attorney Johnny Sutton to testify against Border Patrol Agents Ramos and Compean, was arrested on drug charges at the Zaragoza Bridge along our southern border yesterday, Nov 15, 2007. He will appear in court this afternoon and faces a total of 5-40 years and $2 million dollars in fines for drug smuggling.
